I would love to know who did the artwork for this Batman (Greenway/20th Century Fox; 1966) game from a children’s magazine from around the time the TV series was released there!  It always amuses me to see Batman and Robin drawn in this style.  :)

スターウォーズが初めて公開されていた時の有楽町!なんという昭和感!やはり消滅した巨大建造物というのは人々の記憶をかきたてるものがありますね!きっと東急東横渋谷駅は10年後に見るとこんな感覚になるのでしょう。

A neat picture in Japan from 1978; you gotta’ love the huge billboards they had for movies back then!  Star Wars (Lucasfilm/20th Century Fox; 1977) opened in Japanese theaters opposite Kon Ichikawa’s live-action/animated adaptation of Osamu Tezuka’s The Phoenix (Tezuka Productions/Toho; 1978).

I may not have been in Japan, but as I love Japanese culture, I was so distraught upon reading about it a year ago today.  I was so sad for everyone over there that I couldn’t draw for weeks.  Even now, I have not forgotten.  This drawing, done almost a year ago, is dedicated to my friends in Japan.
